Episode 010: How to Tame the Negative Voices and Boost Self-Confidence
Do you ever hear your inner voice telling yourself “You should have known better!” or “You blew it, again!”? We all make mistakes and have an inner voice that tells us “Look what you did, you messed up!” What happens when we hear that negative voice most of the time? The negative voices in our heads will take charge of our lives and keep us stuck often leaving us with feelings of low self-esteem, self-worth and self-confidence.
Where do these voices come from? Psychologists believe these voices are created largely from childhood experiences. While having fear-based self-protective rules probably made sense and helped us to survive when we were kids, they may not be useful in our adult lives and may have negative effects on our relationships. Luckily, we can rewire our brains to think positively. How can we do that? Join Robin and guest Jacqui Letran as they explore the topics of self-confidence, how to lose the negative “voices” in your head and how to raise self-confident kids.
